Creative Commons (CC)
Creative Commons (CC) is a non-profit organization that offers free legal tools to help copyright owners share their work with the public under terms they choose. Creative Commons licenses allow creators to grant some of their rights to the public while retaining others, facilitating a legal framework for the distribution and use of creative work. Ranging from very permissive (allowing almost any use) to more restrictive (allowing only certain uses), CC licenses enable authors, artists, and educators to promote and protect their work in a flexible, standardized way.
