Man-in-the-Middle Attack (MitM)

A Man-in-the-Middle Attack (MitM) is a cyberattack where the attacker secretly intercepts and possibly alters the communication between two parties who believe they are directly communicating with each other. MitM attacks can occur in any form of online communication, such as email, social media, web browsing, or even encrypted communications if the attacker manages to breach the encryption. These attacks can lead to the theft of personal information, financial data, and login credentials, and can be mitigated by using encryption and secure communication protocols.
