Rootkit
A Rootkit is a clandestine computer program designed to provide continued privileged access to a computer while actively hiding its presence from administrators and other system processes. Rootkits can manipulate the operating system to hide other malware, create backdoors, and evade detection by security software, making them particularly challenging to detect and remove.
