Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA)

The Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) is a family of cryptographic hash functions used to produce unique hash values from digital data. SHA is widely used in security applications and protocols, including TLS and SSL, PGP, SSH, and IPsec. Hash functions like SHA-256 are designed to be one-way, making it computationally infeasible to reverse the hash value to retrieve the original data.
