Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a cryptographic protocol designed to provide secure communication over a computer network. By encrypting the data transmitted between a web server and a browser, SSL ensures that sensitive information, such as credit card numbers and login credentials, is transmitted securely. SSL certificates also authenticate the identity of websites, building trust with users.
