Keylogger

A Keylogger is a type of surveillance technology that monitors and records every keystroke made on a computer’s keyboard without the user’s knowledge. Keyloggers can be software-based or hardware devices, and are often used for malicious purposes, such as stealing passwords, financial information, or personal data. However, keyloggers can also be used in legitimate scenarios, such as parental controls or employee monitoring, with proper legal consent.
