Security Token
A Security Token is a physical device used to gain access to an electronically restricted resource. Tokens are used to prove one’s identity electronically, as in the case of a two-factor authentication process. These devices can store cryptographic keys, wireless proximity identifiers, or biometric data to enhance security measures by requiring something the user has in addition to something the user knows.
